If you’re anything like me, you’re wondering what the heck is going on with Lexus Avenue Q audition.

Well, I’ll give you an update right after the theme song.

Your daily Lex.

Yeah, I don’t know.

The update is I’m still waiting.

They promised some updates by the end of the week.

I don’t know if they meant the work week or the week week.

So either way, it’s only Thursday and I don’t yet know what’s going to happen, but I’ll keep you posted.

I have run the gamut of potential outcomes in my mind, like assuming each one is the one that will happen.

So we’ll see.

Anyway, do people iron?

This is a real question.

Like I’m familiar with ironing.

I own an iron.

We have an ironing board, but setting up an ironing board is such a pain.

And I just, it seems to me that most people don’t iron most of the time.

Maybe, maybe people are ironing all the time.

There’s ironing behind closed doors.

It’s not like people are ironing in public, but it feels like a, I don’t know.

Here’s what I do for wrinkled clothes.

I love a steamer.

Steamer to me is faster, easier, quicker than an iron can set it up anywhere.

Don’t need an ironing board.

I love a good travel steamer.

I have one like travel size steamer.

That’s truly travel steamer.

I have one that’s a bit larger.

I use them interchangeably at home.

I do travel with one and then don’t worry about my, if my clothes are wrinkled when I pack them.

I mean, I would like my clothes not to be wrinkled when I pack, but the fact that I know I can unwrinkle them thanks to the steamer, man, it’s fantastic.

The steamer is like magic and it works on, I don’t know, 80% of the things I own.

Then there’s some fabrics or some articles of clothing to just have, they are not influenced in any way by the steamer.

I also love a great wrinkle spray.

From what I’ve read, and I haven’t done a ton of research, but these wrinkle sprays that you can buy, and I don’t have any brand loyalty.

I’ll use whatever brand I get.

But these wrinkle sprays are not really materially different from just spraying water.

I like the wrinkle sprays because they tend to have like weird fabric refresher ring smell.

That was a word, smells, scents, and that can be good.

They clearly put more than just water in there.

So they’re, they’re claiming that these are chemicals that are helping to relax the fabric in some way or another.

I don’t know.

But I do appreciate how misty some of them can get.

Like my eyes when I’m so emotional about my wrinkle-free clothing.

My wrinkle-free clothing, but I clearly should do some experiment with just having some water bottle that has a good nozzle or nozzle with a lot of options, because if you can get that nice misty spray and really get the fabric in there wet enough that it’s not soaked, but wet enough that you can start pulling and stretching.

I recall my mom was the one who introduced me to wrinkle spray when I was growing up.

And I realized she was just spraying the clothes, but the instructions said spray the clothes and then pull and stretch in different directions.

And so that’s what I do, right?

Spray it and then I’m going to stretch out, particularly wherever I see, you know, a wrinkled area.

And those things are magic.

Sometimes, listen, sometimes I’m a wild man.

Sometimes I will use both wrinkle spray and the steamer.

Wow.

Right?

I know.

But it’s, and I don’t think I look a schlubby most of the time.

I would say my biggest wrinkle objection that’s hard for any of these methods to crush is certain kinds of more casual button up shirts.

The collars love to get a little wrinkled.

I’m having a hard time speaking today.

Rewind and just listen to how much I’m mumbling mouth today, which I don’t think is usually my problem.

Talking too fast is my problem.

Mumbling mouth.

I don’t think it’s my problem.

But anyway, the collars of those shirts can sometimes get a little wrinkly and, you know, some combination of spray and steamer can help.

But even ironing with those, I find it, I don’t know, some colors are good and some colors are a little bit wimpy.

I’m not a huge fan of the wimpy collar.

But I also, man, oh man, I do love a wrinkle free shirt.

I worked for years at a company with a fellow named Chris who was extolling the virtues of his wrinkle resistant to wrinkle free shirts.

And he’s like, I’m sure they have some chemicals in there that are bad for me.

But man, these things just they come out of the dryer ready to go.

And I love it.

And so I do I do enjoy some wrinkle free clothing, too.

Sometimes even that can get a little bit wrinkly.

But man, if it’s a wrinkle free clothing and you spray the wrinkle releasing spray or you do use that steamer, those things work a treat on wrinkle resistant clothing.

I’ll tell you that right now.

But so, yeah, I’m just curious, do people still iron?

Because I don’t know.

And you never see the ironing set up.

So that was my question of the day.

Yeah.

So if you want my prediction on what’s going to happen with Avenue Q, I expect to hear by Friday.

I expect to religiously check my email before then.

And yeah, I still in terms of will I get cast or not, I just don’t know.

I mean, obviously, I don’t know.

I don’t know if I were going to make a bet right now, right now, today, I think, oh, maybe I will get Trekkie.

But, you know, that’s just setting myself up for disappointment if I’m wrong.

But we’ll see.

Who knows?

I have no idea.

Truly no idea.

I would like to know, but I don’t know.

Also, doesn’t it make you crazy to think about the fact that other people are having a conversation about you right now?

Like my name is in the production team’s conversations about who they’re going to cast.

It could be, hey, let’s not cast that guy or let’s put him into this role.

Whatever, like the fact that people are talking about me and I’ll never be privy to the exact details of that conversation, man, so stressful.

Anyway, happy Thursday.

Get those wrinkles out.
