I think I didn’t record an episode yesterday.

There’s no specific reason, it was just a miss.

But we’ve got an episode today, and it starts now.

Your Daily Lex You know, as I never get tired of mentioning, I work for myself these days.

So I did take off part of the morning to go to Six Flags, Hurricane Harbor, with my son.

And that was fun.

We went on a lot of slides, water slides, and it was good.

And then it was time to go home.

And while we were coming home, we’re actually on the way there, got a notification from Tesla that my car was finally fixed.

So I was trying to figure out what the easiest way to return the loaner, which I was in at the time, and get the car.

But I came home first, took a quick shower, raced and got the loaner, raced back so that I could be in time for a call I have that’s actually nine minutes from now as I record these very words.

And it all worked out.

I got my car.

It cost half of what Tesla had predicted it would cost.

So that’s good, because it means that I saved a decent chunk of money.

And they replaced, I don’t know, something in the car that didn’t work.

And now the car drives again.

For now.

We’ll see.

But yeah, as I was at Six Flags today at Hurricane Harbor, I was thinking about the reality, the surprising to me reality, although science backed, that my favorite color has changed.

My whole life, for as long as I can remember, my favorite color has been red.

I really like red.

I still really like red.

But it’s not my favorite color anymore.

My favorite color has changed sometime in the past six months to be purple.

It’s a thing that really does happen, especially as people get older.

Sometimes their favorite colors change.

Sometimes it’s like, hey, you kind of get sick of your old favorite color.

I still really like red.

If I saw some red, I’d say, hey, I like that red.

If it was a good red, but purple, I have a lot of light purple shirts that are new to my wardrobe.

A dark, a deep purple, if you will.

But yeah, so my favorite color is purple.

What’s exciting about that more than anything else is, I still have so much life, well, let’s hope, but I still have so much time to buy purple stuff or to get given purple stuff.

What I’m trying to say is, I have many red things and that’s great because I like red.

But because purple hasn’t been my favorite color very long, I don’t have a lot of purple things.

So there’s so many purple things I could get over time, which is exciting.

I don’t know.

The purple is a pretty good color, I was just going to say, pretty good color.

Purple also makes me think of this random fact that I’ll share with you.

In comedy sports, typically there is a red team and a blue team.

Sometimes they play mixed, like a red team, a scene will involve red and blue players and they call those purple scenes for obvious reasons.

And sometimes in certain comedy sports theaters, in addition to red jerseys and blue jerseys, they also have purple jerseys for a person who ends up playing on both teams when there’s an odd number of performers available and they need to have even teams.

And that person is typically called the designated jokester.

So I thought those were fun comedy sports facts that you should know.

None of those are the reasons why purple is my favorite color.

I don’t know why purple is my favorite color, but I know that it is.

Oh, yes it is.

Anyway, that’s the number one thing on my mind, is purple being my favorite color.

I also, back to Hurricane Harbor, I appreciate a day where you can go to an amusement park and not spend the whole day.

We got there before it opened, we were there about 15 minutes early, raced to a couple slides right away to get longer lines, then stood in some longer lines, had our meal, had plans to do one more slide, but the line was insane.

We had already done six slides by that point and we made the decision to call it.

We wanted to go on that one more, we got on the line, and we’re like, Liam, this line is going to be forever.

And he’s like, you’re right, we’ll go.

And he was being a trooper, but he was also clearly bummed not to get that extra slide.

And I’m like, I can give you something in return that I think will bring lots of joy to your day.

And he’s like, what?

And I said, Liam, we’re going to listen to Pink Floyd the whole way home, which indeed we did.

And I think Liam most of all enjoyed getting to listen to Pink Floyd.

I specifically told my phone to pay Pink Floyd, Pink Floyd, Pink Floyd, I call it Sting Floyd.

He specifically said to my phone, pay Pink Floyd deep cuts, which I guess it did.

I think the primary thing Liam enjoyed was listening to Pink Floyd.

I think the secondary thing was knowing how much I did not enjoy it.

And I think that was also fun for him in a loving way.

Anyway, that’s Thursday.

I don’t know what happened Wednesday.

It was there, but there was no episode as far as I can tell.

But enjoy what’s left of your day.

Lex.
