Have precisely four minutes before my next call Is that enough time to finish an entire episode of your daily Lex where I do more complaining about my older two kids bus to School, probably not probably I’ll run out of time Certainly, I’ll record it and then not be able to publish it right away because I have a back-to-back back-to-back calls But we’re gonna try we’re gonna see how far we can get Let’s start with the theme song though, and then we’ll get it to you know the rest Your Daily Lex Oh Yeah, so I already talked to you about how on Sierra’s first day of school orientation day the bus came 50 minutes late And the bus driver had to pull over multiple times to look up how to get to the school And then when he wanted to drop Sierra off at the school, he’s like, where do I drop you off?

It’s here’s like I don’t know.

I’m here for orientation I have no idea how this works I’ve never been dropped off by the bus at the school before then he dropped her off at some random door Which was locked and not the correct door and Some friend of Sierra’s luckily happened to be going by that door at that time and let Sierra in Sierra by that point had missed the Entire morning orientation assembly, but did get to do the classroom my classroom thing on the first true day of school He arrived precisely on time, which was great But my kids told me that he continued to miss or skip other stops where their friends were waiting and Once he was on his way to hell he made a couple wrong turns and at one point dispatch called I was like, hey, where are you and He’s like, oh I’m two minutes out, but they were still 12 minutes away, so that’s crappy, too and the bus driver again arrived after the first Bell and Worse he Again took them to the wrong door.

So not good My son is texting me because he’s gonna be home from school soon, but I don’t have time to get him Not because I’m recording this podcast.

So yeah major interruptions.

It’s hours after I started recording that episode anyway Then the bus driver has this thing where he likes to drive away while the kids are still boarding he continues to miss stops He’s come earlier each day and as he comes earlier He doesn’t wait if people aren’t at the magically now earlier bus stop hasn’t affected us, but it’s affected my kids friends And today he dropped them off at the wrong school.

Oh And yesterday he didn’t know that he was supposed to come pick them up again He claimed he didn’t know that it was an early dismissal day Even though all the other buses were there from the same bus and company So my kids just waited there for a bus to pick them up and they were texting with me And so I said, okay, I’m gonna come get you and then while I was on my way The bus did show up, but it was more than an hour late to take them home from school It was an hour late to pick them up at the school to take them home from school.

That’s crazy Today, like I said, he dropped off at the wrong school And then today all this outsource company’s buses were canceled for the drive home That wasn’t necessarily the school’s fault at this time.

Like this was a different thing It was another early dismissal day because of heat at school and they’re already contracted to take kids home early From a Jewish school in Lakewood on Fridays, so they just weren’t available, but they didn’t tell anybody until today So we had to arrange to get our kids ourselves, which is tricky when you know, you’ve got working parents with their own lives Anyway, the bus sucks So I’ve sent a couple angry emails to the school And we’ll see what they do.

The busing company’s answer is basically we can’t get anybody else We can’t fire this guy because there’s nobody else we can hire So maybe I should be a bus driver, I don’t know I Think that’s all I got It’s so many hours later, and I would like to be done with this podcast episode.

So I’m gonna call it there Oh, by the way, you might know this is a Friday and it’s not a freestyle Friday I got a little bit of feedback from people about my most recent freestyle rap this past Friday and the Most common bit of feedback was that people enjoyed it, but wouldn’t want it more than once a month And I think that’s reasonable I don’t know if I’m gonna keep track of making sure I do it once a month or whatever But once a month sounds better to me than once a week, even though I really like doing it.

I I’m worried about Not practicing enough.

That’s one of the reasons I want to do it once a week because it would force me to practice But it’s okay.

We’ll figure it out.
