Happy new iPhone day I got the new giant iPhone and what’s really funny to me is I think of myself as a technical person and I continue to Not know what the name of my phone is because I never get it I think it’s the iPhone pro max, but honestly truly I don’t 100% know that that’s what it is I think it’s the iPhone 15 Pro Max right ultras for the watch I think max is the giant one.

But what do I know?

It’s nice.

It’s it’s huge, but I’m enjoying it so far.

It’s not too heavy It’s just it’s just too big in your hand, but we’ll give it time.

Nobody worry And then of course when you get the new phone you gotta figure out When can you set it up?

And how do you set it up?

And you can do the phone to phone Thing or the iCloud thing or the encrypted backup thing?

I did the phone to phone thing But then I had to deal with a variety of apps that had me logged out again Which I find very annoying because then you have to log into that again So what a pain?

But you know, it’s fine it’s fine and it’s a new phone exciting I’m gonna have to return the old one.

It literally took me 800 clicks on Apple’s website.

Okay, I missed use literally It took me way too many clicks on Apple’s website on the iPhone page to figure out that the it is indeed called the iPhone 15 pro max Like so many clicks that was ridiculous But anyway, I got the new phone.

It’s mostly set up.

It’s still downloading stuff one annoyance for me Besides the one I already mentioned is when you get a new phone It won’t show you notifications from apps until you’ve launched those apps, but there’s some apps I rarely launch but I still use For notification purposes and I gotta basically keep my old phone around so I can see what alerts it gets and Then launch those apps so that new phone gets same alerts.

Listen, I like my alerts I know notifications aren’t for everybody but they are for me Let’s see big big weekend plans.

I’m gonna try to remember to use the action button to take photos That’s one big weekend plan.

I am taking well I was supposed to be taking Ani to go see the crucible at an outdoor theater But because of Ani’s kovat, that’s not happening I’m Debating seeing if Liam wants to go he’s not gonna want to go if he does go who’s gonna feel like guilted into going and Then he’s not gonna enjoy it.

So I’m trying to forgot the best way to approach that with him I’d love for him to go.

I just don’t think he actually would want to I Had a weird issue where my brand new phone would join the Wi-Fi network But then immediately not use the Wi-Fi network and that took a long time to figure out but I can’t explain that Until this episode next week’s episode of the rebound because otherwise what am I talking about the rebound?

Then finally as you certainly know if you follow me on social networks and don’t leave me muted I’ve been very into making New York time style connections puzzles And you know I’ve been using the site that everybody is is to make their own so I could share my own puzzles problem with that site is you can’t edit your puzzles once you’ve made them and I Don’t know that was really annoying me.

So yesterday I was like, I’m gonna build my own and I did So if you want to see my connections puzzles check out Lex Friedman comm slash connections and you can see my puzzles I got did some more work to do on that site It’s I would still consider it beta some design work for my pal Brian which helped Some coding help for my friend chat GPT for one or two JavaScript things and then plenty of coding help for me But it’s fun.

It works works well on mobile and desktop.

I think I think I think But yeah people still complaining.

Sometimes mine are too hard Finding that sweet spot on puzzle-making is really interesting because He can’t make it too easy because then what’s the point?

He can’t make it too hard because I’m doing like it people want it to feel hard But not be hard is I think the the trick of it and I haven’t nailed it yet But I do think that over time I’m getting better.

So I’ll keep at it.

What else can I do anyway this weekend tonight?

It’s the crucible at an outdoor theater Tomorrow, it’s Penn and Teller at an indoor theater and then Sunday.

I think I have a comedy sports where I’m doing a comedy sports Rehearsal, but not the show And I think nothing else Sunday alright, of course because Sunday is The start of Yom Kippur.

So hopefully that’ll go fast.
