My mood is not great, but it’s fine.

Everything’s gonna be fine But here’s the main topics so you can decide if you want to listen to the rest I guess wrap up of Elf and then dealing with Liam’s medication and various companies that all seemingly suck Your Daily Lex I am You know pleased with what I did on stage and elf it’s all done we did the final four shows this past weekend and I’m glad that I did it and I’m glad that it’s finished like there was no Sadness on my part that it was done I was like, okay that that chapter is now closed and I did what I set out to do I had lots of nice comments from folks who saw the show Including strangers, which is always nice.

You know, they’re there There was one time when I was going up after the show to you know Where you can see audience well-wishers because I know I had some friends in attendance and when I stepped out the door I didn’t see my friends right away But you know just a whole bunch of strangers there and they erupted into applause for me and that was very nice That don’t always happen.

In fact, it only happened one time in 11 shows, but still it was fun 12 shows I guess really but so The Cast had a lot of kids in it and a lot of adults like high school kids and the adults and so many of us Adults went out after the show had a nice dinner following our final Sunday matinee all of which was lovely but yeah that It is nice to know I don’t have to do the show again this coming weekend it was fun doing it, but now I’m ready to not have that kind of a crazy weekend and Not have to change in and out of various suits over and over again So yeah good stuff Liam has been prescribed this new medication.

We continue to try to get it for him.

You need a special starter kit for it I think it retails or something like $18,000.

So thank goodness for medical insurance in this stupid country’s insurance policies and We get the Insurance company to approve it which took a lot of work they first wanted to switch him to other medications and we said no and then they had a Have an appeal process with our doctor and the insurance company’s doctor The insurance company’s doctor missed that call several times.

We finally got them on the phone together Insurance agreed.

Yeah, okay.

We’ll cover it It’s a specialty medication.

You can’t get from every pharmacy, but you can get it from PillPack, which is the recommended place from I guess our insurance company to go get it and PillPack is now owned by Amazon my former employer and PillPack has everything they need and then said oh, we don’t have the right authorizations for your insurance company So back to the insurance company, we went the insurance company after 47 minutes on the phone with me said yeah, we fixed it So now it’ll work.

So we went back to PillPack and I said, ah, yes now it works That was many hours ago.

The medicine still hasn’t processed still hasn’t gone to ship.

They have to ship it to us We have to get it so that we can put it into Liam.

They have not done so and they said oh, yeah So I called back again our fourth call to PillPack today and they said oh well It’s still got to be reviewed by the back office before we can issue the prescription.

Also great Let’s get the back office and let’s do that now I can’t do that, but it is expedited and he used the phrase that we’re at maximum acceleration.

We’re at the maximum acceleration of this Prescription to get fulfilled.

I was like right but as far as I can tell what you need is for a doctor I’m sorry is for the pharmacist to look at the prescription and say yes.

Okay, let’s issue it Even if there’s a long list, it doesn’t like that’s like crazy intensive process.

Yeah, I can’t do anything further to expedite it It’s maximum acceleration And yet still we wait we had some reps.

Tell us it would Definitely be processed and ready for shipping by 2 p.m.

Texas time today.

Of course, Texas has two time zones I don’t know which one they were in but either way Didn’t happen so Yeah, I still have my kids medication and I was talking, you know I try to really be human with these folks I’m saying to the guy on the phone of my most recent call to PillPack like what would you do?

I’m a dad I’m trying to advocate for my kid You’re telling me that I’ve done everything that I can do and yet I have no progress from the you know Last week when I first was having these conversations with PillPack and my son is suffering.

I need the medication for him What would you do in my shoes?

You know, I’m sure you’re saying but like you’ve done all the things so you should feel proud I’m like, no, I don’t feel proud doesn’t have the medication in his body.

How can we get to that stage?

Oh, just the back.

How do we get the back office?

Like the guy has I’m not rude to him I don’t raise my voice to him.

Just like like I don’t want to hang up the phone until we get there and he’s like We’re not gonna get there I can’t I customer service rep I’m not allowed to talk to the pharmacist.

It’s great.

What a great system Anyway, I’m grumpy because of that.

I hope you are not grumpy though I hope you’re having a wonderful Monday, and I hope that my week improves cuz why not right?

Okay.

There we go Lex
