I love my calendar.

I mean, I really do.

I use fantastic Cal and my calendar has all my meetings.

My clients have the ability to schedule themselves on my calendar, which is at some points a mistake, but overall is better than it is not my pal.

Jason Snell wrote a, uh, a shortcut for me that I can use to send my openings on my calendar to people pretty easily.

Uh, and then I also put my, my work chunks on there, like, okay, here from this time to this time is what I’m going to do the work for this client.

Uh, cause if I don’t block those things on my calendar, then I don’t do the work.

I got to have it on my calendar.

Also, obviously it has all my kids stuff has my, you know, my nighttime stuff, my after work stuff, and if it doesn’t go on my calendar, then I’m not going to do it.

Um, Sierra is a calendar user.

Lauren is a light calendar user.

Lauren doesn’t accept invites from the people from calendars and sometimes forgets to invite people to stuff.

So I can see Lauren’s calendar and I keep it kind of grayed out.

So I know it’s not mine and I can see Sierra stuff that she has me too.

But man, I love my calendar.

And that’s my first thought before I hit the theme song.

I love my calendar.

I also love you and theme songs.

Your daily Lex.

I’m concerned that not enough funny things are happening to me because I’ve had podcasters block all day today.

Um, I’ve been wondering, what am I going to talk about on this episode before I get into the next L uh, the next song from the new, uh, Liam and Lex album.

Like what’s the topic going to be?

And I was thinking about stuff that I thought was, you know, it’s okay.

It’s, it’s interesting, but it’s not funny.

It’s not entertaining in the ways that I think, uh, are required of stories to share on this podcast.

So I’ve been struggling with why aren’t more funny things happening to me.

And then I realized it’s because I never leave the house or do anything.

No, that’s not true.

I leave the house.

I do things.

I promise I do.

I do.

I do.

And, uh, I’m going to regale you with a story from a recent time.

I was at a house, which is when I was on that cruise that I’ve already referenced, uh, that was on between, uh, Christmas and New Year’s.

And, uh, when I go on a cruise, if they offer a drink package and it’s at a reasonable price, I like to get it because that way I don’t have to think about buying individual drinks and what the prices are, I just know that I’ve already paid exorbitantly for the ability to have drinks.

Uh, and, um, you know, you gotta make sure you get your money’s worth if you’re in my head.

So you drink all day, you’re like, Oh, we got to start with a morning mimosa or whatever it is.

Uh, and for as long as I can remember, which isn’t that long because of all the drinking, just kidding.

But for as long as I can remember, when I go on a cruise with a drink package, I keep a note with all the drinks I have each day, um, as a gift, we’d gotten Sierra, the sodas package, and she was keeping track of all her sprites and seltzers and stuff, which I thought was cute, except it wasn’t sprite on this boat.

It was starry, which I think used to be Sierra mist, which is probably part of the reason Sierra liked it, but now it’s called starry.

And, uh, if she called it sprite, I would say starry, not starry.

And I thought that was very funny and no one else did.

But anyway, I did keep a list of all my drinks and, uh, uh, I’m not going to tell you what they all were because there were so many each day.

But, uh, yeah.

Um, there was a time when I said to the bartender at the alchemy bar where they do, you know, fancy mixed cocktails.

Hey, I don’t know what I want, but I want something that’s, you know, got a heavy cinnamon flavor.

And I, I, you know, I don’t like Brown liquors.

I’d like clear liquors.

And he said, okay.

And then he brought me a very Brown drink.

He’s like, you’re gonna like this one.

Anyway, I took a sip.

I was like, Nope, I don’t.

Uh, and he did not care at all.

Right.

Cause he’s not losing any money.

The drinks are prepaid for whatever.

And so I was like, yeah, I’m not going to, and then he’s like, I can take it back.

I’m like, no, no, that’s okay.

And I’ll sip it.

And it was actually a healthy choice in some ways, because I ended up sipping that drink for the next, I don’t know, three hours because I hated it so much.

I did like the cinnamon aspect of it.

I didn’t like anything else in it, but it’s fine.

Anyway, drinking is good kids.

You should try it.

Um, as you know, we’re going through the new Liam and Lex album called the world wasn’t ready yesterday.

You got to hear a snippet of for Freddie.

Uh, but this today we’re going to go to track two, which I thought would be a really creative way to go from after hearing track one.

So if this is the part where you tune out, cause you don’t care about music.

I understand.

But here is the first part of a three part series on the album.

Liam decided to make the next three songs, cars, planes, and teleportation all go together.

Each is an individual track.

Each is a different style song.

Uh, and they’re in different keys, but they segue on the album.

As you listen to the back to back from one to the other in clever ways, because Liam was a cool kid, I guess.

Uh, cars is a song about, uh, cars and, uh, he wanted me to sing it.

And so I did, uh, I mixed myself a little quiet in this one.

So like my vocal track is a little quiet compared to the rest of the song.

Cause I just thought his music was so cool.

I wanted it to shine.

So anyway, here’s a snippet of cars.

As always, if you want to check out the album, you just go to, uh, your favorite music service and search for the world wasn’t ready from Liam and Lex.

There’s an ampersand between Liam and Lex, or just go to Lex Freeman.com slash world, and you’ll get all the links you need to all the music services that exist, or at least that I hear about.

I don’t mind if it’s a short trip or a road trip all day long, if you’re gonna take the car out, please take me along, I love riding in cars and watching what goes past, turn up the music and let’s all have a blast.

Cause we’re hanging out in the car.

Hey, it’s me again.

Bonus content.

If you were listening all the way through, I’m skipping towards the outro so you can hear the, some of the final chorus and then Liam’s cool instrumental outro that leads into the next song.

Cause we’re hanging out in the car.

Oh yes, we’re hanging out in the car.

I said, we’re hanging out in the car.

We’re hanging out in the car.
