I’m not gonna lie to you to your listener.

I’m a little sore Your Daily Lex Boy oh boy so yesterday I had a Misery rehearsal where I was doing various physical things falling out of my bed while trying to escape said bed That Was the major one falling out of bed and then crawling around on the floor and flailing and then there’s getting picked up by the nurse and thrust back into the bed and then there’s Again spoiler alert Murdering her with a typewriter and then there’s a moment where she rises again You know a jump scare where you think she’s dead, but she’s not dead Rob Reiner who directed the movie below believed that that jump scare was the first one in a major motion picture But I believe he’s wrong.

But anyway, all those things very physical Because after I failed to murder her she jumps up and yanks me out of my wheelchair We fight and I eventually choke her to death.

It’s the feel-good story of the year folks But anyway, I’m not worried about doing any of the physical work involved in those scenes But doing them over and over again in rehearsal is not fun The best way to fall And to make that fall look good is to kind of have some real fall in there And I’m being safe and thoughtful about how this happens But you know I’m leaning over one side trying to ease down on my good shoulder and then I lose my balance and fall on my bad shoulder That’s the that’s the choreo And doing it once was problem was no problem doing it twice was really no problem But doing it again and again, well boy that became a problem Eventually, I was like, hey, I don’t think I do anymore Which everybody was totally fine with The director is very very Caring I would say about that kind of thing But I did it as many times as I could and then I went home and I took ibuprofen and now today I have a couple new bruises We’re doing a full run through tonight.

We’re supposed to do those things.

I don’t know if I’m gonna do those things tonight I might I might call an audible and not do some of the physical stuff Just cuz you know falling on a bruise no fun Once I’m you know doing it just once per show or once per day.

I think we’ll be just fine Yeah, so that’s story one story two from the same rehearsal as people who follow me on mastodon or Facebook might already know Multiple times twice my watch was concerned that I had taken a fall and that it should call 9-1-1 So I’m doing some of my falling very realistically.

I guess you would say I mean, I certainly would say it.

I did say it So now you know Anyway at any rate any who And other euphemisms for stalling That was that was thought one for this podcast was last night’s rehearsal and the physical toll it took on my old Body, I’m also far and away the youngest person in the show I’d like that I say far and away when there’s only three actors in the show total There’s also one stage manager and one director, but they all think of me as the young guy and to me That’s very funny to be 43 and be the young guy, but there you have it.

That’s what I am Totally separate thought as you know, I participate in comedy sports and sometimes we have to share examples of jokes that would cause the groaner foul basically dad jokes or puns or whatever and To have crossed my desk recently that I because my desk is full of puns I guess to have crossed my desk recently that I really enjoyed and I thought I would share them both with you one comes from friend of the show and a friend of the Lex Andy he just sent me this text today and He said What does Jeff Bezos do when he’s getting ready for bed?

And the answer is he?

Puts his pajamas on Pajamas on pretty good.

And the other one I heard that I really liked is This is not the best ceiling I’ve ever seen but it’s up there it’s pretty good Andy and I have sometimes been in elevators together and we do a little routine for the our elevator Neighbors our elevator compatriots our elevator audience where One of us will say hey Andy Well, if it’s if the person says that it’s probably me saying he doesn’t talk to himself, but boy, you know this elevator Really has his ups and downs And then the other one might say yeah, you know really push my buttons I don’t know when I saw this elevator.

I was floored and that’s pretty much the elevator run that we have Anyway, I hope you’ve enjoyed those elevator jokes and all the jokes and all the content.
