And last night’s brush-up rehearsal for Misery, the director was like, let’s do it at about 20% faster than normal so we can just kind of move through it.

And I think that we took that to mean, I don’t know, go 200% faster?

The show went really fast.

The show took about an hour, where it’s normally about an hour and 45 minutes.

We really flew, and it was fun.

And there were a couple just hilarious moments of what happens when you’re going 2x the speed, but it was good.

It’s good to rebuild that muscle memory before we’ve got shows this weekend.

Tonight I go to see Shrek at my daughter’s high school, and that’ll be fun.

I’ve seen Shrek the Musical before.

There’s actually a couple variants of Shrek the Musical, and I think this is the better one that we’re seeing.

So that’ll be fun.

And I’m going with Ani.

Liam and Lauren saw it last night, so tonight’s my night with Ani.

I just thought you should know all my plans in case you’re stalking me.

So yeah, but that was fun.

Theme song time, right?

Right.

Your Daily Lex.

Ani, like many new drivers, is still pretty hesitant to drive, and we’ve been sending Ani out on a couple solo drives, and the first one was just around our development.

So you’re talking 25 mile an hour speed limits and basically no cars or anything.

So yesterday the idea was, Ani, you’re going to go on to Gordon’s Corner Road.

And to be clear, Gordon’s Corner Road is not very busy.

I mean, it can have some traffic on it, but what’s interesting about it from an Ani new driver perspective is it has speed limits of 40 or 45, depending on where you are.

And so we said, Ani, you’re going to take this path through the development, and then you’re going to go on to Gordon’s, and then you’re going to go take the next street, which takes you back towards our development again.

And that means spending, I don’t know, 10 seconds, maybe 15 seconds on this allegedly busy street, this faster street.

And Ani really wanted to review a couple of times what the path would be.

I’m bad at navigation, but this was comical how many times we looked at both Google Maps and Apple Maps.

We did them in 3D view and in Street View, so Ani could see what the intersection would look like.

It was just getting Ani calm.

Ani goes, and of course I stalk slash watch in the Tesla app so I can see what speeds Ani’s going and where, fine.

And it was all good.

And then Ani comes back and is like, boy, you couldn’t have picked a worse day to send me out to do this.

Why?

Well, the road is closed in one direction, and the cars are way lined up like crazy.

And so it turned out that two nights ago there had been a downed power line that they really did nothing with for much of the day.

And so there was all kinds of craziness, and Ani’s like, so it wasn’t that fast on Gordon’s Corner because it was so much craziness.

I’m like, nope, that’s not a bad day to have you do it.

It was a great day to have you do it because it meant that you had to deal with that too because there were people doing illegal U-turns in the middle of the road and craziness and you kind of had to edge your way through.

And so I was proud that Ani pulled it off.

And of course, there’s still more driving to do.

I believe today Ani’s going to drive to pick up new glasses.

So always something exciting.

Anyway, as you know, we’re going through all the new tracks for my new album.

The album is called A Sentiment That’s Almost True.

The second track is called William Howard Taft.

I first wrote a song called William Howard Taft a thousand years ago.

I think before I had any kids, maybe I had one kid.

It’s possible I had one kid.

I think I had one.

Maybe Ani was born.

But I wrote the song about William Howard Taft.

I made a video.

You can find it.

And I did a modern remake of that song where I added another verse, made the musicality better, and I even made a new music video.

If you go to any of my social profiles, you can probably find a link to that video today as I record this Friday, March 1st.

Rabbit, rabbit.

William Howard Taft is a song all about the 27th president of the USA, William Howard Taft.

Here it is.

Happy weekend.

William Howard Taft, William Howard Taft, William Howard Taft, William Howard Taft.

W.H.T.

was elected in 1909, and he stayed in office till 1913.

He weighed over 360 pounds.

He owned a cow by the name of Pauline.

He was the 27th president of the USA.

He’d be the chief justice.

One day he was the 27th president of the USA.

He was a Unitarian Republican, by the way.

Here are some words that rhyme with Taft.

Laft, and shaft, and raft, and hovercraft.

Draft, and daft, and graft, and aft.

Not to mention the other graft.

The one with the P-H.

William Howard Taft, William Howard Taft, William Howard Taft, William Howard Taft.

William never flew into space, and he never attended a circus camp.

He never hosted Saturday Night Live.

He didn’t invent the Tiffany Lamb.

William Howard Taft, William Howard Taft, William Howard Taft, William Howard Taft, William Howard Taft.

William Howard Taft, William Howard Taft, William Howard Taft, William Howard Taft.
