Man, I love making jingles.

This episode is about making jingles So let me slow it down if you are currently listening to this podcast at a speed Faster than 1x.

I am encouraging you to slow it down to 1x so you can fully enjoy the jingles I will share in this episode and yeah I slowed this down so that you’re normally sped up me since I’m already sped up to begin with You really got that message.

I want to make sure you know.

Anyway, here’s the first jingle the theme song Your Daily Lex If I could have a full-time job where I did nothing but make jingles I would do that I would do that even if it meant I had to work for somebody again But man, I love making jingles.

So recently and I honestly don’t remember how I talked about it much on this podcast but I Jason Snell asked me if I would make some jingles for upgrade and They wanted to have a jingle filled episode and so I made a variety of jingles Jason wrote some of the words And he had initially sent me like radio jingles classic radio jingles So you like the ones where they sing the call letters at the station or ever like WRF why?

Radio and I really honestly wasn’t good at imitating that sound But I did my own thing and some of the jingles were quite popular People really seem to like them particularly One that’s about money.

So first, let me share with you a handful of jingles that I made for Jason Snell and Mike Hurley on upgrade Here you go Money money money money who has all the money money money money money who has all the money?

Money money money money who has all the money?

It’s Apple So, yeah, I made a lot of jingles for that show That’s by far the most popular one and the one that people quote to me But here are some of the others I’m gonna play five in a row.

They’re all kind of self-explanatory.

Like there’s a segment about lawyer up.

There’s no talk There’s ask upgrade their saddle up Details, you’d have to listen up great to fully understand.

But anyway, here you go I Like that one because Jason thought it was funny that it suddenly got Latin at the end and I wasn’t trying to get Latin I was trying to emulate some of the horns that were in some of the sample radio tracks He sent me but yeah, I did not nail it.

It’s still funny, but I did not nail the radio sound I was trying to emulate Honestly, that’s probably the closest I got to nailing the radio jingle sound here’s some more I have some advice for you Just ask So definitely one of the joys of jingle writing is trying to find different styles and moods and concepts, so yeah, here’s a b-tails It’s the Future Software features they’re coming right at you So, yeah, I heard b-tails and tried to make it sound like the Beatles I don’t sound like the Beatles but I tried It’s So, wow, I’m already four minutes in and I’ve only shared jingles from upgrade where I had a Whole bunch of other jingles to share and maybe I’ll wait till tomorrow to do those because my buddy Marco sold a bunch of his belongings and is exploring the parks of Canada and the US eventually and he’s cooking along the way in his new Rivian pickup truck and filming a bunch of vlogs and video recipes and I am making a unique theme song for each park.

He visits and Believe me when I tell you they are totally bonkers as a preview Here’s just one and it’s a shorter one because some of them are too long, which is my style But he’s going to a park called Banff and he’s making a dish called Banff bourguignon It’s really beef bourguignon, but you know because he’s gonna be in Banff It’s Banff bourguignon, and I didn’t write the food names, but here’s the theme song for Banff Marco’s here, so let’s get it on, probably worth sharing It’s possible I’m losing my mind.
