It’s quite possibly the first time, as I’ve gone through the album Blueprint by Liam and Lex, that I haven’t had to look up what song is next, because I know that BoobooBot Social Spacetime and Soloist, the song from yesterday, is the lead-in to BoobooBot 2.0.

So yeah, that’s the song you’re going to get to hear today.

Your daily Lex.

I’ve already given you some of the origin story of BoobooBot.

I made a robot that was inspired by the line BoobooButt in a book by B.J.

Novak.

But let me give you a little bit of the original BoobooBot song, which was called BoobooBot’s The Name.

That wasn’t what I called it.

I simply called it My Robot Friend, and Liam, when he was recording the song, added some extra lines about, my name is BoobooBot, BoobooBot’s my name.

And so, yeah, that’s how the song became what it is.

And it’s one of my favorites from our first album.

So here’s a quick clip.

My robot friend.

He’ll be with me until the end.

He cleans the toilet.

He combs my hair.

And he wrote a song.

If you’re not aware, BoobooBot’s the name.

BoobooBot’s the name.

BoobooBot’s the name.

BoobooBot’s the name.

That song opens with the lyric, his name is BoobooBot.

And I believe the new song starts with the same lyric.

It’s an homage.

And in BoobooBot 2.0, you know, now the robot has more features.

Ani thought that this song sounded slightly mean, because we’re talking about how much better 2.0 is.

But that’s just growth and development.

I think it’s fine.

Ani also drew the cover for the album.

And you’ll see that Ani has drawn BoobooBot as a friendly-looking robot that looks very basic.

And it’s funny to me, because in both of our two songs about BoobooBot, besides the Beatles parody, we talk about him having this incredible functionality.

But when you hear his voice or see that drawing that Ani did, clearly a very basic robot.

So I like that he’s a study in contrast.

After I finish this episode and publish it, I’ll be heading off to my first physical therapy appointment for my arm weirdness.

So excited to see how that goes.

Because I would really like some relief from my left arm going numb in various ways all the time.

Because I hate it, especially when I’m driving.

I mean, I always hate it whenever it happens.

It happens a lot when I’m driving.

So that’ll be fun.

So anyway, here for your listening pleasure is BoobooBot 2.0.

And yes, you can stream Blueprint by Liam and Lex anywhere.

And when you’re searching for us, it’s helpful to use the ampersand, Liam Ampersand Lex.

Easiest way to find us.

Here you go.

I’m interrupting.

I’m interrupting the song to say I really like how Liam composed this one.

I think it has a really nice verse and chorus structure.

And I think it has like a really nice hook that is going to be an earworm for you for the rest of the day.

His name is BoobooBot.

I really like him a lot.

But even though he’s fun, he’s version one.

So after a lot of thought, I built BoobooBot 2.0.

There’s nothing he doesn’t know.

He knows infinite digits of pi.

He knows why blue is the color of the sky.

He even knows how to fly.

BoobooBot 2.0.

BoobooBot 2.0.

BoobooBot 2.0.

I am BoobooBot.

BoobooBot’s my name.

He’s really good at chess.

He cleans up every mess.

He makes ice cream from scratch.

He can play a game of catch.

And he can be a GPS.

I built BoobooBot 2.0.

There’s nothing he doesn’t know.

He writes songs and books too.

He cooks steak, chicken, and stew.

And he even imitates you.

I am BoobooBot.

BoobooBot’s my name.

He cleans my room.

He does my chores.

When we go out, he locks the door.

He walks the dogs.

He feeds the cats.

He makes me homemade winter hats.

He tells me jokes, gives me advice.

2.0 is very nice.

BoobooBot 2.0.

BoobooBot 2.0.

BoobooBot 2.0.

BoobooBot 2.0.

Lex.
