A couple different thoughts today.

One is I had a reminder pop up at 10 30 this morning that says body spray.

I have no idea why I have a reminder that says body spray.

It’s definitely something I set with Siri.

It definitely wasn’t meant to say body spray.

I don’t need any body spray.

I’m not looking to buy body spray.

I wasn’t reminding myself about body spray.

I don’t know what it was.

So if you have any ideas of what I tried to say when Siri heard me say remind me about body spray, feel free to let me know.

Anyway, I hope you had a great Thanksgiving if you celebrate it.

And frankly, even if you don’t.

Your Daily Lex.

I indeed had a good Thanksgiving this past Thursday.

I went to my sister-in-law who normally lives about an hour, an hour and five minutes away.

And that day it took about an hour and 20 something minutes to get there, which was fine.

It took only an hour to get home.

The only problem was my sister-in-law who really did a lovely job.

She made a bunch of the food.

My wife made a bunch of the food.

Others contributed.

It was all delicious, like truly excellent.

But the timing of the heating wasn’t ideal.

I thought especially given the time we were encouraged to arrive, which was 1pm, that we’d be eating around like 3pm or so.

And I was very hungry.

And we did not eat until around 4.30, which was just later than I was ready for.

Because I had been essentially fasting, I guess, to get to that point to make sure I had the right calorie count, whatever.

I did okay on Thanksgiving.

I did worse on my birthday, which was the next day.

It was a great birthday.

I’m wearing a sweater that my parents got me right now.

And I got compliments on the sweater all day.

Now granted, I picked out the sweater.

But seriously.

You know, as always, I checked in with the trainer before we went out to dinner for my birthday.

And there was some cake that I consumed on my birthday and whatever else.

And the reality was, he was like, hey, why are we doing all this work?

It’s so you can enjoy things.

So eat whatever you want on your birthday.

Don’t worry about it.

Which I did.

And then I was a little heavier on my birthday, on the day after my birthday.

Fine.

Then I was very careful the next day.

And of course, the following day after that, weighed even more, which is annoying.

So now I’m working my way back down.

Because I really want to get into that full reverse.

And then, you know, putting on the more muscle and eating more.

And I keep on getting there and then stopping.

So I’d like to just get there and continue.

That’s my plan.

But it was a lovely Thanksgiving.

A lovely birthday with family.

Plus Ani came home, which was very exciting.

Ani was home for Thanksgiving.

I picked Ani up at the train in the wee hours of Tuesday into Wednesday.

And although Ani wouldn’t usually come downstairs until around noon each day, then we did get to spend plenty of time with Ani, which was nice.

And also Ani’s home again in fewer than three weeks for a long time next time.

So all very exciting.

I have a couple rehearsals this week without our director being there, which is hilarious.

It’s such a small show.

It’s just two of us plus the stage manager plus the director.

And for the first several rehearsals this week, it’ll just be the two of us and the stage manager.

The director is also starring in a production of the musical Scrooge.

And he has some rehearsals this week and thus can’t attend.

So that’ll be interesting.

And of course we’re going to go see him in Scrooge because you support your director, I guess.

Anyway, those are my updates, I believe.

Good Thanksgiving, good birthday, but a little bit too much weight.

There’s leftover pumpkin crumble, a dessert that Lauren makes around Thanksgiving that I really want to eat today, but I also want to make sure I’m achieving my weight loss goals.

So we’ll see if I have it or not.

Anyway, I hope you are having just a wonderful start to your week.

And this is that weird time on the work calendar and the life calendar, December 1st.

We’re post-Thanksgiving, we’re pre-Christmas.

There’s people who want to get everything done and people who want to get nothing done.

The only thing the people in my life want to get done is Cyber Monday deals?

I don’t know.

I did buy all my corporate gifts today.

I have mixed feelings about corporate gifts, but it is fun to get them.

So I figure it’s also fun to receive them.

So I send them to my best clients, of course.

Best clients defined in one very capitalistic way, the ones who spent the most.

So I sent out those using Cyber Monday deals because I like them, but I also like savings.

I don’t know.

Anyway, happy Monday.

Goodbye.

Lex.
