I have to eat dinner early, so I can’t do a very long episode, but I still have a story I want to share.

I’ve wanted to share it since Monday, but I didn’t do an episode Monday, and then I talked about my new app Gnome on Tuesday, so here we are Wednesday with a story from this past Sunday.

Did you follow those days of the week?

I believe in you.

We’re all together, right?

Theme song, then story.

Your Daily Lex We got Lauren a few things for Mother’s Day.

One was oversized mugs, four of them, and it was funny because we have too many mugs, and we often talk about how we have too many mugs, and Lauren was like, I can’t believe you got me more mugs.

But the old mugs were getting chipped up, and Lauren was also annoyed when some of us had used the large mugs recently to make cakes in mugs, you know, things where you put some ingredients in a mug and microwave it, and then you have a little cake.

She’s like, but I need that big mug, and that’ll be in the dishwasher.

So, it was quite funny to get four more giant mugs, which we did.

Sierra also got Lauren some makeup, because Lauren and Sierra talk about cool makeup things they like that are good for skincare, whatever.

And I got Lauren a little personalized thing with images of the kids that actually hasn’t arrived yet, but whatever.

And then the final thing was Lauren has had, you know, Lauren has two ear piercings per ear, and the studs she wears in her second piercings are, had been causing her irritation.

She loved the studs themselves, but you know, they were cheaper earrings, and so they were giving her ear irritation, which I call ear irritation for short, but it’s very confusing that I do that.

So, she’s like, I want nicer earrings.

I want, like, genuine gold earrings or something, or really white gold, but I don’t need them to be diamonds.

I don’t really want them to be diamonds.

If they are diamonds, they should be lab-grown diamonds.

I would be happy with cubic zirconia, whatever.

So, she knew she didn’t want me to just go shopping for that by myself, because how small it was and what it looked like and all that stuff was going to be very important to her.

So, we decided we would go shopping together on Mother’s Day.

Liam was playing his weekly gig at a restaurant that’s at the mall, and while normally it’s just at night, this past Sunday it was twice.

It was the afternoon and the nighttime, and, you know, he got double the money, whatever.

So, we had some extra time to kill at the mall.

We didn’t stay for the full four hour plus of his performance, but whatever.

So, Lauren and I went jewelry shopping, and we finally found a pair that did everything that she wanted and looked great and whatever.

We were ready, and they were like, and it’s on sale today.

We were like, well, that’s not why we’re here, but sure.

We will gladly take your discount.

And I didn’t know I was going to become an animated GIF app millionaire at that time.

I’m not an animated GIF app millionaire.

Anyway, so, the lady’s like, how are you going to pay?

And I said, credit card, I guess.

And then I saw that it took Apple Pay.

So, I took out my phone and used it, and I say to Lauren, hey, that credit card I stole totally works.

And the lady turns around.

She’s like, I think I’m going to pretend I didn’t hear that.

And Lauren’s like, he thinks he’s funny.

And I said, correction, I am funny.

And it was so incredibly awkward because she did not think that it was funny, but I did.

And that’s my story.

Anyway, happy Wednesday, May 13th.

I hope you have a wonderful day.

I didn’t steal the credit card.

It was my credit card.

And I was like, it’s on my phone.

She was not at any point, I think, genuinely concerned that I had stolen the credit card, but she did wonder for a moment.

But I was like, it’s on my phone.

It’s on my phone.

Dumb.

Anyway, goodbye.

Lex.
