It’s still pretty loud here in case you were wondering.

It’s day two of floor install.

It’s so loud.

It’s unbelievably loud.

It’s actively loud right now as I’m recording this.

I had other things to say, but all I can think about right now is how loud it is.

Very, very loud.

Your Daily Lex In addition to having my kitchen floors replaced, it’s also a colonoscopy prep attempt number two.

It started last night where I took triple doses of Miralax at the doctor’s request.

And then today I was told to stop eating solid foods by 2 p.m.

I stopped eating solid foods at 8 a.m.

Mostly because of my incomplete prep last time and my desire to not have that be a problem this time.

My colonoscopy is earlier this time around than it was yesterday.

I didn’t have a colonoscopy yesterday.

Then it was prior colonoscopy.

So I have to be at the facility at 7 a.m., which means that I do one set of prep tonight at 6 p.m.

when I drink the gross stuff, the soup prep.

And I do the next prep at 2 a.m.

So I get to wake up at 2 a.m.

to drink that stuff.

That’ll be fun.

And then I have an hour before I have to stop having any liquids.

And yeah.

Shit my brains out?

I think that’s the plan.

So I’ve got all that to look forward to.

Here are the things I’ve had.

I did have a solid food breakfast, which was three eggs and a piece of toast.

White toast.

Not whole wheat because I follow the rules.

And again, they told me I could have a lunch as well, but I didn’t.

I mean, I did, but the lunch was jello.

I’ve got jello and I’ve got Italian ice and I’ve got broth.

Those are the things I’ve eaten today.

I’m going to have a Gatorade later.

It’s 3.30 p.m.

as I record these words and I’ve had 641 calories today.

Normally by this time I would have had 1,200.

It’s going great.

I’m basically celebrating a bonus Yom Kippur.

It’s fantastic.

I’m hungry and I’m cranky.

But tomorrow’s colonoscopy and then, more excitingly, it’ll be post-colonoscopy.

That’s what I’m really looking forward to is when it’s done.

Meanwhile, my daughter Sierra just hopped in the car a couple minutes ago to drive back to summer camp.

The longest drive she will have ever done solo.

So I have that to worry about for the next four hours while also being hungry and anticipating my hours of toilet time yet to come later today.

I think that’s all I got.

I think those are the things on my mind.

Anyway, I hope you’re having a wonderful Wednesday.

I hope you don’t have a colonoscopy tomorrow, but I do hope you get a colonoscopy once a year because it’s healthy.

It’s good for you.

Man, oh man.

I’d like to have just the one this time and not do a third this year.

That would be sad.

Anyway, happy June 17th, everybody.

Goodbye.

Lex.
